Bruce Gaultney Bruce Gaultney, 50, has been publisher of the Telegram & Gazette since April 24, 2006. He replaced Bruce Bennett who retired after working for 34 years at the T&G. Mr. Gaultney came to Worcester from Ocala, Fla., where he was publisher of the Star-Banner. The Star-Banner and Telegram & Gazette are both owned by The New York Times Co.

Mr. Gaultney  was named publisher of the 50,000-circulation Star-Banner in 2002. He joined the Star-Banner as executive editor in 1994, was named operations director in 1999 and general manager in 2001.

Mr. Gaultney has been with the New York Times Regional Media Group since 1983, when he was named executive editor of the Daily Comet in Thibodaux, La. He has been managing editor in Spartanburg, S.C., and executive editor in Florence, Ala.

A journalism graduate of Texas State University, he began his career in 1978 as a reporter with the Huntsville Item in Huntsville, Texas. Mr. Gaultney and his wife, Amanda, are the parents of three children.
